E. C. Driver & Associates, Inc. is a full-service, Florida based, consulting engineering firm providing services to public and private clients in the areas of civil engineering, transportation planning, design and construction engineering and inspection. The firm was founded by Ernest Carl Driver in Tallahassee in 1984 and has since opened offices in Tampa and Boca Raton. In January of 1995, ECDA was acquired by URS Corporation and since then has functioned as a wholly owned sub-division of the firm ranked number one in design for seven years in a row by ENR. ECDA's success is due in large part to the outstanding qualifications of our current staff of more than 70 professionals. In the movable bridge industry in particular, we are nationally recognized for expertise in structural engineering, heavy machinery, control systems and fluid power systems. Our staff includes structural, mechanical and electrical engineers that carry on the tradition for excellence in movable bridge engineering established by "Doc" Driver during his distinguished career.
