Duties included administration of the contract between the FDOT and contractor, enforcement of plans and specifications, inspection oversight of all construction activities, tracking of all quantities, and materials testing. The project involved the widening and realignment of mainline I-275, and the addition of and reconstruction of ramps at the Roosevelt Blvd. and Ulmerton Road interchanges. In addition, improvements were made to highway lighting, signage, and drainage, as well as the creation of a mitigation site. Project included the construction of three concrete fixed span bridges utilizing AASHTO Type VI and Florida Bulb-T beams, and one structural steel girder bridge. All four bridges feature concrete piers using cast-in-place footings on pre-stressed concrete piles.
